THE MARQUEE HOTEL IS ALSO NOMINATED FOR THE PLAN AWARD 2022

ALTER EGO Project Group is delighted to have been named as finalist in THE PLAN Award for 2022 in “Hospitality” category.

THE PLAN Award is an annual international prize that recognizes excellence in architecture, interior design, and urban planning. With twenty different categories and over a thousand submissions every year, THE PLAN Award is an important opportunity for architects, designers and urban planners to participate in an international community and contribute to the discussion of the key issues affecting the industry today.

Under the Arabian sun and the starry desert sky lie the snow-white pavilions of the Marquee Hotel. This project addresses both the past and the future of humanity and allows to enjoy customary comfort within a touching distance from an ancient desert, feel the fragility and beauty of the world while relaxing and filling up with vital power. The harmony of architectural and interior solutions is coupled with innovative technologies.


The minimalistic design starting with laconic shapes to the choice of white colour has acted as a clean slate which brings the magnificence of the natural landscapes to the fore. Each villa, as a main hotel accommodation unit, is equipped with a ring-shaped swimming pool and an ‘island’ inside it with an upholstered rest area and a firepit. Some villas have a tropical garden on the ground floor too.

The purity of shapes can be seen everywhere: in the succinct lines of the furniture, in the ergonomic functional design, in the absence of visual noise. The comfort and functionality of the interior invites guests to extend their stay.

This project of a seven-star boutique hotel worked out thanks to the customer’s daring desires to come up with something new, not done before, and thanks to the ALTER EGO creative and knowledgeable team, who manifested incredible freedom in solving most challenging tasks.
